“They’re going to start a pilot program to interact with the children because he said they’re the ones that are most impacted by their living situation and losing everything they own in a fire. Most of the parents work and they’re going to have an after school program for the kids to attend until the parents get home. The place is situated in a very bad neighborhood but people are people.” states Millie.
“I told Arsenio my goal was to drop things off every month and he said that’s fine. He said even in the summertime I can bring items so we can have them in storage for the winter months. He said the heating system is not the best because they are living in old buidlings so even afghans would welcomed. I’ve gotten out the word in my local area about bringing the coats to the shelter.”
