Winter wear for the needy: The Lakota families of South Dakota
We at Love’s Many Cloths make lots and lots of hats, scarves, mittens, and blankets to help keep many people warm during the winter time. Many of us live in very cold parts of the country and the other gals that live in the much warmer climated areas are so loving and caring to give to the rest of us and our needs to keep us all warm too. One area in particular that I stress to send to is the Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota. They are a very large area of poor conditions and the winters are very harsh for the elderly and the children.
An elder grandma and her precious grandbaby whom she raises along with many other grandchildren.
The Pine Ridge Elders group (www.groups.yahoo.com/group/pineridgeelders )makes hand made winter wear to send to various contacts for the elder grandparents and other elders during the fall and winter months.
